Advantages of a top-to-bottom screen Mobile phone manufacturers have long sought to maximise the size of their screen in relation to the size of the device. The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge set a new benchmark earlier this year with its curved screen that appeared to reach right to the edge of the handset. The device was praised by early reviewers, but appears to have offered few practical advantages, other than its aesthetic appeal. Creating a screen that reaches top to bottom offers a better video playback and an improved gaming experience, but it also presents some obvious challenges.
